Our story

It is with so much gratitude that we welcome you to Stay Well Collective.

In 2018 I started soloBARRE with the idea of offering barre + meditation sessions in private + small group settings submerged in nature. We believe that it is the combination of movement, breathwork, meditation + nature in small group settings that allows for the seamless connection between mind, body + soul. Although we are still committed to hosting private events, BACKYARD and BEACH barre + mediation, sound bowl and breathwork sessions in nature, the time now feels right to finally open Stay Well Collective in Rumson, NJ.

It became pretty obvious over the years that these sessions transitioned into more than just a fitness class, thus Stay Well Collective emerged as a shared space for a whole mind-body experience. I am excited to welcome instructors and practitioners that would like to share their offering with this community as a collective and continue to grow their private practices, while building a wellness community together. Making Stay Well Collective not “my studio”, but instead “our studio”.

My hope is to bring the outside in by working off of an earthy, neutral color pallet, while keeping the space bright + open. We are also looking forward to offering Salt Well therapy to select sessions, which will enhance your ability to stay present because of it’s calming effects on the nervous system. The belief that everything is connected - mentally, physically, emotionally + spiritually - is the common thread that runs through each + every session. I look forward to sharing our signature Stay Well sessions with you along side some of the best instructors in the area. The result is that you will continue to build strength physical + mentally, push through any emotional + energetic blocks, while using breathing techniques to calm + reset the nervous system. Our hope is that Stay Well Collective will become a sanctuary for those seeking a life well lived.

Movement in nature has always been an outlet for me. Escaping to the beach (even in winter), walks in the woods or just sitting out on the dock overlooking the bay in my hometown of Toms River, NJ has been a place of calm + presence. I moved to the NYC for college, where I began my 10 year career in the fashion industry + met my husband. Once we started our family we made our way to Bronxville, NY where we had 3 children. In 2017 I lost my father, my best friend. Grief manifests itself differently in everyone, but one thing we all have in common is that it doesn't leave you, it transforms you. Over time I found that the combination of movement, mediation + breathwork in nature held a space for healing + growth - I simply had to share this method that allowed me to Stay Well as I moved through life.

After becoming certified in barre through the Tracy Mallet Method + earning a Transcendental Meditation certification directly following, it really started to sink in that movement was more for my mind, than my body.  Over the years, I completed certifications at the New York Open Center in breathwork, sound healing + a masters in reiki energy healing.  Most recently completing my certification at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a certified health coach.

My hope is to invite you into a space where you feel the outside coming in, filled with warm light, incredible energy + share this space with local instructors + practitioners that are sure to support our community to Stay Well.
